Building Somatic Awareness: A 5-minute Mindful Moment

Building Somatic Awareness: A 5-minute Mindful Moment
By Dr. Kelly Vincent

mindful moments introduction

Meditation is a practice that involves training the mind to focus and achieve a state of calm and relaxation. It is often used as a way to reduce stress, and anxiety, and improve overall well-being.

Meditation can take many different forms, including sitting quietly and focusing on the breath, repeating a mantra, or engaging in guided visualization exercises. The benefits of meditation are numerous and have been studied extensively, including improved mental clarity, reduced stress, and decreased symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Our 5-minute Mindful Moments are intentionally crafted to seamlessly weave into your morning or evening routines (or even in the middle of your day). Each Mindful Moment focuses on a different intentional topic to allow space for your mind and body to recalibrate and ground.

Dr. Kelly Vincent, a licensed clinical psychologist and owner of Nourished Wellness Group, is your Mindful Moment’s guide.
