Supporting Your Inner Child: A Guided Meditation

What to expect

In this guided meditation, Dr. Kelly Vincent will create space for your inner child. Inner child work is a therapeutic process that involves addressing and healing unresolved trauma, emotional wounds, and negative beliefs that were formed during childhood. The premise behind inner child work is that many of our current struggles and challenges as adults stem from unmet childhood needs or past experiences that have shaped our beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. Through inner child work, individuals can identify and release deep-seated emotions, transform limiting beliefs, and cultivate a healthier sense of self. The goal is to integrate the wounded child within us with our adult self, leading to greater emotional resilience, inner peace, and authentic self-expression.

This meditation will help you connect with and nurture your inner child—the younger, more vulnerable part of yourself—so you can develop self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-healing. Please make sure you are in a safe, comfortable area to allow yourself time and space to drop in. Find a cozy posture and let’s begin.

As a gentle reminder, The Studio is not a replacement for therapy. If you live in California and are interested in a consultation, please reach out to me. Otherwise, Psychology Today is a great tool to find a licensed clinician in your area.
