Inner Child 101: The What, Why and How to Do the Work

What to expect

In this mini-class, Dr. Kelly Vincent will dive into Inner Child Work, specifically what it is, why it is important, and how to get started. Inner child healing is a crucial aspect of overall emotional well-being and growth. By addressing and nurturing our inner child, we can work through unresolved childhood traumas, emotional wounds, and limiting beliefs that continue to impact our lives in adulthood. This process involves acknowledging and validating the emotions and experiences that our inner child carries, providing them with the love, care, and attention they may have lacked earlier in life. Our intention for our inner child work is to begin to cultivate self-compassion, self-awareness, and self-love, which are foundational for building healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and making empowered choices. By reconnecting with our inner child, we can rediscover lost parts of ourselves, reignite our creativity and curiosity, and tap into a sense of playfulness and joy that may have been stifled over the years.

Overall, inner child healing is important because it enables us to integrate our past with our present, heal emotional wounds, and cultivate a sense of wholeness and authenticity. It is a deeply transformative process that can lead to greater emotional resilience, inner peace, and a more profound connection with ourselves and others.
