Before we get started, a few gentle reminders that are helpful to keep close as you move through the material:

  • Depending on our experiences, rest may not feel safe. We encourage you to ease into deep rest slowly and listen to your body. Some individuals find that practicing deep rest with eyes open can d

  • Trying out new practices can be challenging so be gentle with yourself. Also, there is no such thing as doing Deep Rest ‘well.’ Trying this is a radical act of self-care — just by showing up to the practice, you’re doing it “right.”

  • If you start to feel dysregulated during practice, stay with your breath. You are always welcome to open your eyes, sit up, and reorient before coming back into the practice.
